I got this because it had some good reviews, had a good price, and looked to have a number of good features.
Problem is, it doesn’t really do all it claims, it has a very limited number of usable formats, tech support is practically non existant, and I am stuck now with a useless program. It would be nice if a program such as this really worked and delivered what it promised, but I don’t think such a thing exists. I get better results with a ten dollar editing program I purchased several years ago than I do with this. Most aspects of the program simply do not work. That is why I do not recommend this program.

I have had this program for 1 month and still haven’t figured it out. Every time I open it I am confused and lost. I just purchased Corel VideoStudio Pro X2 and LOVE IT. I created a AWESOME video in a few hours. Pay the extra bucks and get a user friendly program Corel.

Some of the software actually worked for a month. The cenescore still does not work. After a month when I would double click a movie clip, my Pentium quad Dell would try to open Vegas Platinum 8 which would not work. I uninstalled 8 and things got worse. When I tried to open 9, It made me reenter the serial number. It took me an hour to find the serial number but I kept getting error windows that would not go away. Angry I called Sony on a toll number. It was 5 pm on Friday CST. No supervisors were available and would not be available for three days. The technician said it was time for him to go home. My plan is to see if I can get back to 8 and dump 9. I have a meeting with my attorneys next week. I really don’t have time to upgrade to programs that are just not ready for consumers. I see that the price for this software is going down like the economy. If they payed me to take it, that would still be too high. I wish I had been warned.

Editing is jumpy , not intuitive at all, have to search and search to figure out everything. Biggest POS I have ever seen. Try to burn a DVD and it takes numerous steps. Help screens are poor. Bottom line is if you are not already a pro don’t touch Sony. It will not recognize my new Canon HF10, have to use Microsoft to download.

I bought this item because it was advertized to include 2 GB Flash Drive while last. When I received the package the 2 GB Flash Drive was missing but not even a courtesy note explaining why it was missing. Maybe the supply ends but why does the current ad still says the same?. I am giving product and seller 1 star because the package shipped was not complete.
